These are a few samples of my work that range from professional writing communication to graphic design. All of these samples were created via coursework or internships.
Waste Management Business Plan
Writing for Environmental Professions
Five other classmates and I created a business plan to create a reusable food container program at Isla Vista businesses to tackle the waste management issue in the community. Within the plan we conducted surveys and research regarding residents' awareness of waste management efforts. We furthermore created a budget, timeline, and funding sources who we requested a grant for this hypothetical business plan. I created the Letter to Client, Options, Timetable, and Budget and assisted with the creation of the other sections. This sample displays my ability to manage thorough projects and write technical business documents.

Ecomedes User Guide
UCSB Sustainability
This sample was a mock user guide I created for the UC Ecomedes search tool that has been
piloted by UCSB to help purchasers meet the UC Sustainable Procurement Guidelines. For my
position as a UCSB Sustainability intern, I was tasked to come up with innovative ways to make
sustainable procurement a simpler process for departments on campus. One of the many
important ways to do so, was to advertise this search tool to display to purchasers that shopping sustainably can be both convenient and effective.

Corporate Responsibility Infographic
Strategic Business Communication
For Strategic Business Communication, 3 other classmates and I created a presentation about the Corporate Responsibility chapter of Corporate Communication by Paul Argenti using a free editing software, Canva. We individually created infographics to summarize the information that can be visually appealing, eye catching, and easily digestible for any reader. This sample tested my design ability and improved my ability to condense and emphasize important information in writing.
Multimedia Advocation Website
Multimedia Writing
For Multimedia Writing our final project was to create a multimodal advocation about a particular issue we are interested in and presenting it on a website. For my project, I
focused on the importance of voting, the issue with low voter turnout in young people, and
providing solutions to tackle the issue. Throughout the site, I provide many resources in multiple modes of communication such as videos, podcasts, pdfs, links, and forums. This sample is a culmination of all the skills and concepts I gained, which I felt accurately demonstrates how well I was able to cohesively add in all the components and concepts I learned about design and composition within this site.

Alumni Interview Memo
Business Communication for Client Projects
For Business Writing for Client Projects, I was tasked to interview an alum of the Professional Writing minor and seek their advice both for post-graduate careers and for future cohorts of the minor. Within this sample, I was able to describe our discussion and my reflection thoroughly exemplifying my attention to detail and ability to earnestly listen. I believe that communication, especially business communication, extends much more than what is written on paper, but also what is said and what is presented by your physical presence.
